Hillsborough, East Bay, King and Sickles advanced from two days of pool play into Wednesday night's semifinals of the four-day Wharton Invitational.

The semifinals and Thursday's title and third-place matches will be at Wharton. Group 1 winner Hillsborough faces East Bay (Group 2) in the first semifinal Wednesday at 6 p.m., with King (Group 3) meeting Sickles (Group 4) at 8.

The third-place match is Thursday at 6; the championship follows.

Three teams finished 2-1 in Group A, but Hillsborough prevailed based on goal differential. The Terriers pulled off the upset of the tournament Tuesday morning, getting two goals from Kyle McKay in a 4-0 win against previously unbeaten Plant City.

In Group C, King and Land O'Lakes both finished 2-1, but King topped the Gators to win the head-to-head tie-breaker. East Bay and Sickles both finished 3-0 in their respective pools.
