Wiregrass Ranch junior soccer star A.J. Blount verbally committed to USF this month, Bulls coach Erin Dodd confirmed Wednesday morning.

Blount was one of the North Suncoast’s top players last year, scoring 40 goals and tallying 15 assists as a sophomore to help Wiregrass advance to the region finals. She recorded a hat trick in the district semifinals against Lecanto and scored or assisted on all eight goals in a win over Fivay.

Blount, a forward, is out for this season with a torn ACL but is continuing to rehab to prepare for her senior season and college career.
