Wiregrass Ranch girls soccer coach Erin Dodd has resigned to take a job at a school in Qatar, Bulls athletic director David Wilson said Wednesday.
“She’s done a nice job over the last few years,” Wilson said. “Leaving was a difficult choice for her.”
Dodd led the Bulls to 40 victories in her two seasons as head coach and took Wiregrass to the 2011 region final.
Before coaching, she was a four-time all-conference player at Zephyrhills and left the Bulldogs as the school’s all-time leader in goals.
Wilson said the job will be posted online for at least a week. The school doesn’t have a timeline for filling it but wants to do so fairly soon so players can begin meeting the new coach.
“It’s not a rush right now,” Wilson said.
