Wiregrass Ranch has named Ed Costa its new girls soccer coach, Bulls athletic director Dave Wilson announced Sunday evening.

Costa has coached soccer at middle schools, high schools and colleges since 1989. He was the head boys and girls coach at Rushe Middle School and the head coach for the Central Pasco United Soccer Association.

Costa replaces Erin Dodd, who took the Bulls to 40 wins and the 2011 region final before resigning in January to take a job in Qatar.

Wiregrass Ranch has also named Chris Madden its new girls soccer assistant coach. He was the boys’ goalie coach for the last two seasons and graduated from the school in 2010.
