Wiregrass Ranch defensive end/full back Matt Terry has committed to Wisconsin Lutheran College and will sign with the Warriors on Thursday according to Bulls head coach Jeremy Shobe.

"He is a big, strong and athletic young man with good character and high academics," Shobe said. "He is projected to start immediately, and it is a great opportunity for him to play football and get an education."

The 6-foot-1, 225 pound Terry will play defensive end at Wisconsin Lutheran. He had 31 tackles, three tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery during his senior season at that position, helping the Bulls win their first district title and advance to their only postseason appearance.

At fullback, Terry averaged over five yards a carry, rushing 20 times for 101 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 13 yards.

Terry was a St. Petersburg Times' All-North Suncoast second team selection, and he was also named to the All-Sunshine Athletic Conference second team following the 2010 season.

Wisconsin Lutheran College, a Division III program in Milwaukee, plays in the Northern Athletics Conference. The Warriors went 6-4 last season, 4-3 in conference play.
