According to Hudson football coaches, Cobras senior QB Zack Wynn has 1,769 passing yards (with 15 TDs) after seven games. In last week’s 22-21 win over Ridgewood, he threw for 179 yards on 20-of-40 passing.

That gives him 6,469 yards for his career.

Pasco County’s all-time record for career passing yards is 7,657, set by former Land O’Lakes star Drew Weatherford, who later played at Florida State.

Hudson (4-3) plays host to Tarpon Springs on Friday in a key Class 4A, District 6 game. A win would move the Cobras one step closer to making the playoffs. That’s big because it would give Wynn at least one more game to catch Weatherford.

Weatherford: 7,657 yards
Wynn: 6,469 yards
Games to go: 3
Yards needed to break record: 1,189
Remaining opponents: Tarpon Springs, Wiregrass Ranch, Land O’Lakes.
