Wesley Chapel is looking for a new baseball coach after the resignation of Chuck Yingling, Wildcats athletic director Mike Rogers said Tuesday in an email.

Yingling led the Wildcats to the Class 5A playoffs and a 19-9 record this spring as the district runners-up. He took Wesley Chapel to the playoffs four times, including the region semifinals in 2010. He plans to pursue other interests, Rogers said.

Yingling is a former coach at Tampa Catholic who led the Crusaders to playoff appearances in each of his seven seasons there. TC also won state titles in 1996 and 2001 during his tenure.

Wesley Chapel also has head coaching vacancies in boys swimming, girls golf, boys soccer, softball and boys and girls tennis.
