Obama pardons pair of gobblers for Thanksgiving

President pardons poultry  President Barack Obama, with daughters Sasha and Malia, pardons Liberty, a 45-pound turkey, under the North Portico of the White House. The two birds pardoned Wednesday, Liberty and Peace, were raised by students in Future Farmers of America in Willmar, Minn,, where, Obama said, they had been groomed to face the press. The most important part of their media training, he said, “involved learning how to gobble without really saying anything.”
