OAK HILL

Man accused of video voyeurism

An Oak Hill man secretly recorded video of teenage girls using a tanning booth in a shed behind his house, authorities say.

Police say 48-year-old David Russell Brown was arrested Wednesday night after officers searched his home and found the camera and video recordings.

Two girls, ages 17 and 15, had told police they found a video camera hidden in a brown cardboard box during a recent visit to use the tanning booth.

JACKSONVILLE

Area can get federal help for rain damage

Several days of heavy rainfall has saturated north Florida from the Panhandle to Jacksonville.

Florida Department of Emergency Management officials said the damage is severe enough to qualify for federal assistance. The Governor's Office would have to request that funding from the White House.

Roads across the region remain closed due to flooding from drainage basins and overflowing creeks. Water also pooled in parking lots.
