MOTHER CHARGED IN DEATH OF GIRL FOUND IN TRUCK
The mother of a 10-year-old girl who was found dead in an exterminator's truck was charged Saturday with murder. Carmen Barahona was arrested in the death of Nubia Barahona nearly three weeks after the girl was found wrapped in plastic in the pickup along Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach. Her twin brother, Victor, was in the front seat, critically burned by a chemical. Police said their father, Jorge Barahona, doused the boy with a chemical so toxic it sickened rescue workers.

Identity of girl in canal is confirmed
A medical examiner has confirmed the identity of a girl found in a South Florida canal as 6-year-old Ju'tyra Allen. She was found in a canal Wednesday about half a mile from where another child's body — believed to be her 10-year-old brother Jermaine McNeil — was found later in the day. Their mother, Felicia Brown, was found in a trash area last summer. Police say 34-year-old Clem Beauchamp is their only suspect in the deaths, though he hasn't been charged. Beauchamp is being held on an unrelated gun charge.
