TUESDAY
Stylish Buc signs for charity
We already liked Greg White when he changed his name legally to Stylez G. White after a character in Teen Wolf. Now you can get the Buccaneer's pawprint for charity when the defensive end signs autographs and visits with fans to benefit the Better Us Foundation for underprivileged children. Line up from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bucs & Bulls Heaven, 14823 N Florida Ave. The cost is $10 per autograph and $15 minimum store purchase. Autographs can also be ordered by phone. (813) 908-2827.
FRIDAY
Get down in the 'Burg
The monthly First Friday gathering Get Downtown is always a hopping block party, and now Jannus Live is adding a free concert, First Friday Fallout. There's music, food and a lively crowd between Second and Third streets on Central Avenue starting at 5:30 p.m.; the concert starts at 7 at Jannus Live, 16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. Free. (727) 565-0551; jannuslive.com.
FRIDAY-SATURDAY
Sand, surf, cinema
Usually, the adage is true that you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to free movies. But Friday's Sunset Cinema at Pier 60 free movie on Clearwater Beach is the Oscar-winning animated gem Up. The old rule goes back into effect Saturday, however, for the Zac Efron vehicle 17 Again, but you can always look at the surf when his hair starts to annoy you. Bring your blankets, beach chairs and towels and find a spot to sit. No alcohol allowed, but you can bring a nice picnic. The show starts around dusk. sunsetsatpier60.com.
SATURDAY
Mix it up, kick some butt
The Ritz Ybor will host Master Mehrdad's Muay Thai Classic XXV with mixed martial arts bouts for men and women. The booty-kicking begins at 8 p.m. at the Ritz, 1503 E Seventh Ave. Tickets are $25 to $50. Visit shindokumate.com or call (727) 573-8533.
Let the animals babysit
If you want to go on a date Saturday, then drop the kids off at Lowry Park Zoo for its monthly Parents' Night Out. From 5:30 to 11 p.m., kids can enjoy pizza, entertainment and an animal encounter while you go out and enjoy anything that isn't pizza or chicken nuggets. You can even skip the animated movies for once. It's $30 for the first child, $10 for each one or two additional children. Go to lowryparkzoo.com to sign up (and don't let the week in advance scare you off — you still have a little time).
SATURDAY
Tap a keg for the kids
Free beer! Well, almost. Admission to Ferg's Crazy Keg Party on Saturday includes all-you-can-drink beer, a bikini contest, Pinellas County School supply drive and a raffle. Bring a new school supply to donate and get two free raffle tickets. The $5 admission and proceeds benefit Operation Empowerment. The party starts at 7 p.m., Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill, 1320 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. (727) 822-4562.
SUNDAY
See the Rays at the movies
The Rays may be on the road, but you can see the players on a bigger-than-life screen Sunday at a Rays Watch Party at the Muvico Starlight 20 theater. The Rays will take on the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards, and the theater is letting fans in for free (though a $5 donation is requested) starting at 1 p.m. The game starts at 1:35 p.m. at Starlight 20, 18002 Highwood Preserve Parkway, Tampa. (813) 558-9755.
THURSDAY
Space is calling on Line 1
We want to see what comes up on the Caller ID when the Science Center of Pinellas County hosts a downlink with the International Space Station on Thursday. Twelve lucky students have been selected to ask the astronauts questions live from the space station. Astronauts participating include T. J. Creamer, Tracy Caldwell Dyson, Doug Wheelock and Shannon Walker. NASA Television will broadcast video from the space station during the event and it will be streamed live through out the Science Center at 10: 30 a.m. Thursday at 7701 22nd Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Free.
