Two girls found safe after being reported missing in New Port Richey

UPDATE: Both girls were found safe Saturday night, police said.

NEW PORT RICHEY — Two girls, ages 5 and 16, were reported missing Saturday, New Port Richey police said.

The girls — Abagail, 5, and Johanna, a mentally handicapped 16-year-old — were reported missing by their mother, who said they were last seen at their home at 6430 Polk St.

Abagail was described as a light-skinned thin black girl, 3 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a white shirt with I Heart (shape) Great parent snack company. Johanna is described as a thin black female, 5-foot-4 and weighing 80 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants. Johanna has the mental capacity of a 5 year old, the family said.
