Crunch fitness opens Channelside location

DOWNTOWN TAMPA—Crunch fitness recently opened its newest state-of-the-art facility, adding upgraded features to the former Powerhouse Gym location at 1120 E Kennedy Blvd., Suite 129.

Guests enjoyed free food and prizes from more than 45 vendors, games, personal training competitions, a two hour power group fitness workout.

"This is the first location that we really went above and beyond," said Jaci Petrock, corporate sales and marketing director. "It is in every single way a top of the line location.

"We really tried to cater to the customer in this market. With Powerhouse closing, we knew there was a need and a number of people that were displaced."

Crunch offers a new fitness experience with upgraded tanning, zero enrollment membership specials, more than 40 group fitness classes a week, a designated cardio and strength training area as well as HydroMassage beds and a private stretching area.

Crunch fitness prides itself on its relationship with its members and its distinct perks program offering members discounts at several local businesses and restaurants. Deals include 50 percent off tickets to the Florida Aquarium, up to 20 percent off Tampa Bay Buccaneers single game tickets, or 10 percent off at restaurants like Acropolis Greek Taverna and Black Rock Bar & Grill.

Crunch offers affordable membership starting at $10 for basic access to the facility, $20 for access to facility and classes, and $25 for access to the facility, guest access, classes, tanning and hydromassage and nationwide access.
