Hernando County Fair spins to a close on Saturday

The Hernando County Fair and Youth Livestock Show and Sale wraps up Saturday at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., in Brooksville. Friday brings the lawn mower demolition derby, figure 8 and backwards lawnmower race, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday is mutton busting, a greased pig contest and the demolition derby at 7 p.m. General admission is $8, ages 4-12 are $4, and children 3 and younger are free. Arena events carry an additional fee. Call (352) 796-4552 for information.
