SOUTH TAMPA— UNTUCKit, a clothing store known for shirts that are meant to be untucked, opened a shop in International Plaza early in October.

Located at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd space 182 on the lower level near Nordstrom, the New Jersey-originated brand pride themselves on providing mainly men's shirts that eliminate the long, sloppy look of untucked dress shirts that are not designed to be worn untucked.

There are already stores in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Austin and Dallas, Texas, among others and now Tampa joins the list as only the eighteenth store in the country.

"Business has been incredible because we are the first store in the state of Florida," said Debbie Gonzalez, General Manager. "Everyone is so thrilled that we're open."

What sets them apart is the overall quality of their shirts, the contoured hemline, the signature sail, and the length of their shirts. The shirts are designed to fall halfway between the belt and the bottom of the zipper. They have a curved hemline, not a squared bottom allowing the front pockets to be partially exposed.

"It's the perfect fit to wear a shirt untucked," said Gonzalez.

"We can fit all body types, athletic builds, we can even fit talls and we have a wide range of wrinkle free, performance for an athletic guy and the basic cotton, plaids and flannels."

UNTUCKit further distinguishes themselves with their unique shirts all named after wines or wineries. Chris Riccobono, the owner, is a wine connoisseur and created the idea. Featured at their location is a wine table with empty wine bottles and they also have whisky samplings for their customers to complete the overall shopping experience.

Many sports fans are familiar with the brand that is advertised during football games and is sponsored by NHL Detroit Red Wings star Brad Richards.

He told Esquire in 2012, "Fit is important for sure, but comfort was the number one draw for me. The shirt looks good, but they're also incredibly comfortable."

Prices range from $78 to $98 for the average shirts and they sell button down shirts, t-shirts, polos, shorts, outerwear and sweatshirts.
