in-home caregiver • What kind of arrangements will be made if the caregiver is ill or unavailable? • Who is responsible for paying Social Security, federal taxes and unemployment insurance? • Is the caregiver legally eligible to work in the United States? • Who is responsible for medical and other costs if the caregiver is injured? • Has the caregiver's background been checked, including criminal history? • Is the caregiver bonded and insured, in case the client is injured, or in case damage or theft occurs?
