Pasco senior meals, week of April 8

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. Meals include low-fat milk. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in West Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in East Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in Central Pasco.

Monday: Barbecued meatball hoagie, cheesy mashed potatoes, Italian beans, margarine, raisins, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Baked chicken thigh, yellow rice with tomatoes and peppers, black beans, dinner roll, blended juice, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Turkey ham and cheese on whole-grain bun, mayonnaise/mustard packet, orange-pineapple juice, fresh apple, chocolate chip cookie, low-fat milk.

Thursday: Grilled chicken breast patty in marinara sauce, penne noodles with garlic oil, Tuscan vegetables, rye bread with margarine, peaches, low-fat milk.

Friday: Vegetable soup, flame-broiled beef patty on hamburger bun, ketchup/mustard packet, mashed sweet potatoes, chopped spinach, fresh orange, low-fat milk.
