Senior menus, Feb. 25-March 1

Senior meals

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. Meals include low-fat milk. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in West Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in East Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in Central Pasco.

Monday: Sliced meatloaf with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, whole-grain bread, citrus fruit, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Grilled chicken breast patty with Florentine sauce, penne pasta with garlic oil, Tuscan blend vegetables, whole-grain bread with margarine, applesauce, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Pork riblet with sweet and sour sauce, wild rice medley, Chinese vegetables, whole-grain roll, oatmeal raisin cookie, low-fat milk.

Thursday: Hamburger patty with ketchup and mustard, baked beans, corn with diced tomatoes, hamburger bun with margarine, peaches, low-fat milk.

Friday: Cream of broccoli soup, baked chicken thigh with barbecue sauce, mashed potatoes with cheese, broccoli cuts, whole-grain bread, graham crackers, low-fat milk.
