The California Supreme Court will decide today on the constitutionality of a measure banning same-sex marriage that voters approved in November.

People in the Tampa Bay area who want to see the court reject Proposition 8 have scheduled rallies for this evening in both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. They will celebrate if Prop 8 is invalidated or protest if it is upheld.

The so-called "National Day of Decision" rallies are scheduled for nearly 100 cities across in the country.

In Tampa, the rally starts at 7 p.m. at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square on Morgan Street at Kennedy Boulevard.

In Pinellas, the rally begins at 6:30 p.m. on 66th Street at 49th Avenue.
