Log on, listen and vote for favorite city ditty

St. Petersburg residents have a chance to vote for the official city song today through midnight Monday. Voters can listen and vote for one of the three finalists online at stpete.org. The winning song will be announced Tuesday, with a live unveiling during Ribfest at Vinoy Park on Nov. 14.

Opera company, retailer join in shopping gala

The St. Petersburg Opera Company and Stein Mart will present an exclusive shopping gala from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Seminole Mall Stein Mart, 11201 Park Blvd. Enjoy samples from local restaurants and refreshments, along with tearoom fashion. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or from Megan Weber at (727) 395-0109 or mweber1@steinmart.com. Proceeds will benefit the St. Petersburg Opera Company. All military personnel will receive a 10 percent discount off their purchases Nov. 10 and 11 at any Pinellas or Hillsborough Stein Mart store.

St. Giles Manor will host crafters, quilters

Crafters and quilters will present their 24th annual event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Giles Manor, 5041 82nd Ave. N. Items include afghans, seasonal items, ornaments, jewelry, pillows and crocheted items. There also will be a raffle and door prizes. For more information, call (727) 544-0308.
