It begins with a woman who yearns for a baby and another who is willing and able to give her one. You can imagine the motives of the prospective parents. But what about the woman willing to carry a baby, give birth and then walk away?

MIAMI — For a second year, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger flew in for a climate change summit, heaping praise on Gov. Charlie Crist's work in Florida.
Until the subject turned to offshore oil drilling.
Schwarzenegger made his position clear Thursday. He spoke out strongly against ending a ban on offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, an idea Crist backed last week alongside Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
"Anyone who tells you this will lower our gas prices anytime soon is blowing smoke," Schwarzenegger said.
His spokesman said the statement was not personally directed at his fellow Republicans. However, Schwarzenegger is clear on the issue, Aaron McLear added. "He doesn't believe in offshore drilling. He certainly doesn't agree with McCain and Crist on that."
Crist wrapped up his second climate change summit with a challenge to Florida's business community to invest in green technology.
While the first summit focused the science of global warming and the urgency of doing something about it, this year's agenda highlighted the economic development opportunities of investing in green alternative technology.
Packed by hundreds of businessmen and environmentalists, the summit confirmed Crist's new-won standing as a national leader in the battle against climate change. In a video address, Britain's Prince Charles praised Crist's "courageous determination" to get things moving in Florida.
Crist praised some local companies for "stepping up to the plate," singling out Florida Power & Light and Gulf Power. On Wednesday FPL announced plans for three solar power plants, and Gulf Power unveiled a $1,500 rebate for home solar water heaters.

Nice to hear the Gov who commutes daily to work in a Gulfstream jet telling the rest of us peons we don't need to drill for oil. I think it?d take less time to lower gas prices than it took the Last Action Hypocrite to win the Mr. Universe title.

This is big money. If rising gas prices help stampede folks looking for simple answers into allowing what we voted down already, Crist cannot stand in the way, he's only flesh and blood. Arnold is a great surprise. He says what he means.

Hmmm...Offshore drilling for probaby two years worth the oil that we will see 10 years from now. Assuming they don't export it cause it's more profitable doing that. nah, I'll pass.

Who says anything about lowering price, maybe just a bit more indepence from foreign oil. Put the rigs back on the coast lines. The millionaires in California don't want them spoiling their views.

I thoroughly enjoy the fact that even Arnold is smarter then Crist when it comes to reality. I would pay to see that fight to the death :) Seriously, i wonder if that could be arranged, the winner gets the final decision about offshore drilling.

How exciting for Crist to have that genius scientist Prince Charles praise him for his stand on climate change. They deserve each other. By the way John, Charlie is only popular among the media and Democrats--we Republicans think he is a RINO
