Oscar Mayer last week asked people on Twitter to tweet a photo at them of toppings on their new hot dogs — which the company described as "improved."

The payoff? A year’s supply of hot dogs hand-delivered by none other than the iconic Wienermobile.

Oscar Mayer last year announced that it was removing artificial preservatives and ditching added nitrates and nitrites, which apparently is what they are referring to when they say improved.

But the responses to their request were a little hilarious.

One person tweeted a photo of a hot dog covered in Pepto Bismol.

Another with toothpaste (Is that AquaFresh, by the way? It looks like AquaFresh).

The hot dog with Fruity Pebbles doesn’t look that bad.

Some people tweeted photos of their pet dogs — in some cases in a hat.

Others responded with reminders of studies that have shown that processed meat is unhealthy; others with pleas to pass on meat — especially pork — because pigs are considered more intelligent than dogs.

This is just a GIF of hot dogs being thrown at a person’s face.

There’s also some mentions of Mitt Romney’s famous ‘My favorite meat is hot dogs’ line.

There’s also the required vomiting GIF.

There also are some genuinely good looking hot dogs out there!

There were a few erectile dysfunction jokes, a hot dog put in a banana peel and a photo of some firefighters with the Wienermobile.

There also is this -- which one guy said looked like "a dead eel covered in cheese."
