Bad: Wrecking your dad's car. Worse: Wrecking your dad's Ferrari. Worst: Being filmed by TV news crews while calling your dad after the wreck to break the news. This happened to a young man in Melbourne, Australia, on Saturday night, the Sydney Morning Herald reported. Police said he was speeding on Batman Avenue (How could you not speed on Batman Avenue?) and crashed into a pole, destroying the car's front end. The car is an F360 Challenge Stradale. Just 16 were imported into Australia and New Zealand in 2004, each with a price tag above $400,000. To make matters worse, television news crews filmed the apparently unhurt driver calling home to break the news. His male passenger was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Say you want a pet that can learn tricks but think dogs are just too hairy. Well, goldfish have no hair at all and, apparently, are quite the learners. "There is mounting evidence that fish are more intelligent than people give them credit for," said Dr. Dean Pomerleau of Los Angeles, who trained his goldfish Comet to play soccer, basketball and limbo under a bar. The 2-year-old fish can also play fetch with a hoop, slalom around a series of poles and push a rugby ball over a set of posts. Pomerleau said he used positive reinforcement with food to train Comet. "Now people in the market for a dog might want to consider a fish instead." Also, no barking or chewing.

In Louisiana prison, escape at your own risk
Guards. Guns. Cameras. Fences. Inmates trying to escape from prison have a lot to worry about. But at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, there is another layer of security: a more than 400-pound black bear. A prison worker saw the bear Friday. "I tell you what, none of our inmates are going to try to get out after dark and wander around when they might run into a big old bear," warden Burl Cain said. Maria Davidson of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department isn't so sure. "We've never had a predatory attack by a black bear in Louisiana, to our knowledge," she said. "As for a bear coming out and rushing an inmate, I don't see that happening." Well, the inmates don't have to know that.

Hey, nice heart attack — Steve?
When Steve Dineen collapsed on stage last week, the audience at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh, England, thought it was just part of his impressive performance. See, Dineen played Laurence in Mike Leigh's comedy Abigail's Party. Laurence dies of a heart attack in the final minutes, and Dineen was just moments away from acting out the death. Thankfully, co-star Alice Selwyn quickly noticed Dineen wasn't acting at all and asked for a doctor. He was taken to a hospital and is recovering.
