Cat rescued after 3 days in Ohio drainpipe
The Courier newspaper reports a resident in Findlay heard a cat's cries Wednesday. The orange male initially refused lures of tuna, the classic call of "here, kitty, kitty" and even a cellphone app that meowed. When cut from the pipe Friday, the cat was muddy, emaciated and hypothermic. Named Piper, it is being treated for a broken leg. A number of people have volunteered to adopt Piper. One vet said: "If they truly have nine lives, he probably has three left."
Statue of Satan for Oklahoma Capitol?
A religious group believes it could "complement and contrast" a Ten Commandments monument in Oklahoma City with a 7-foot-tall statue of Satan "celebrating the scapegoats, marginalized and demonized minority," Satanic Temple spokesman Lucien Greaves said. After the 6-foot-tall Ten Commandments' placement in 2012, inscriptions had to be redone to fix misspellings like "sabbeth" for "Sabbath." The ACLU has sued to have the stone removed.
