Banksy sells work for $60 in Central Park

The British graffiti artist who is causing a sensation in New York City says he sold his artwork over the weekend for only $60 each. Banksy wrote on his website that he had set up a stall in Central Park on Saturday with original signed works. But the secretive artist warned on Sunday: "That stall will not be there again today." The website features a photo and video of the pop-up stall with a sign that read: "Spray Art. $60." His works typically sell for thousands of dollars.

'Extreme sport'

Hey, bear, man's got your tongue

Woodlot owner Gilles Cyr was walking through his property near Grand Falls, New Brunswick, two weeks ago when a black bear burst out of the woods, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday. "When I opened up my eyes it was on top of me — with the friggin' noise, it's crazy the way it growls," Cyr said. "His mouth was wide open, right in front of my face, so the last thing I remember I had his tongue in my hand and I didn't want to let go because he was trying to fight me off." Cyr said he thought he was a goner. "That's the first thing that comes to your mind when you open your eyes and see that friggin' mouth full of teeth and a tongue in there," he said. "It's like … an extreme sport." Cyr escaped behind a tree and had only superficial wounds.

WhOO! Whoo!

Man hit by train, gets up, walks off

A Kansas man who was walking along railroad tracks wearing headphones was hit by a train that he didn't hear approaching behind him. He promptly got back up and kept walking while calling someone on his cellphone, authorities say. Shawnee County Sheriff Herman Jones says the BNSF conductor slowed down the train and blew the horn when he saw Kristopher Wenberg, 25, on the tracks in Topeka on Thursday. Wenberg went to a hospital with cuts on his legs and shoulder.
