Joe Maddon, manager of the Chicago Cubs and former Tampa Bay Rays manager, along with his wife Jaye helped serve and greet homeless clients of St. Vincent de Paul in St. Petersburg on Monday.

The annual event is called Thanksmas and was the first stop of several for Maddon, including Tampa, Chicago, and Hazelton, Pa., Maddon’s hometown. Maddon’s Respect 90 Foundation partnered with Tampa-based PDQ to bring Thanksmas to homeless shelters in the Tampa Bay area for the tenth year.

In addition to the meals served, Respect 90 also partnered with CITYPAK to provide 900 custom-designed backpacks to the shelters, and Florida-based sock maker DivvyUp will provide 1,000 pairs of socks.
