Community yard sale: First United Methodist Church of Lutz, 960 W Lutz Lake Fern Road, is holding a community yard sale to benefit various international missions from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the church parking. Sale items include books, DVDs, CDs, toys, clothing, and household items. Breakfast, lunch and other concessions will also be available for purchase. The cost to vendors is $25 per space, and table rentals are $10 each for those who need them. Sellers may keep all profits or donate any portion to the church missions program. Buddy Run: The second annual Buddy Run 5K and Fun Run is Nov. 4 at Lake Park, 17302 N Dale Mabry Highway. The event, run by Congregation Beth Am and Buddy Baseball, will raise funds for the Buddy Baseball program, a noncompetitive league for boys and girls 8 to 18 years old with special needs.
