'A Day With the Rays' luncheon benefits Boys and Girls Clubs

Schmoozing with Rays to help boys and girls clubs

The Tampa Bay Rays are supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Suncoast by appearing at "A Day With the Rays" luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the newly remodeled Boys and Girls Club of Pinellas Park, 7790 61st St. For $50, guests can meet, get autographs, and have lunch with Rays players, coaches, media personalities and management. Museum to focus on Redington's history

The history of the communities in Redington Beach is the focus of an upcoming exhibit at Gulf Beaches Historical Museum on St. Pete Beach. The exhibit is called "Take a Walk with Marilyn and Joe," as Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio frequented the Tides Resort on Redington. Gulf Beaches Historical Museum is at 115 10th Ave. in Pass-a-Grille. Summer hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Drivers needed for Meals on Wheels

Can you spare 90 minutes to deliver lunches to seniors? Neighborly Care Network needs Meals on Wheels drivers. Drivers pick up meals at one of Neighborly's sites and deliver them to seniors in their neighborhood. Maps and directions are provided. Neighborly Care Network needs volunteers who can make deliveries daily, weekly or occasionally. Call Pat Hazell at (727) 573-9444, ext. 4190.
