Annual Tomas G. Masaryk birthday dinner and dance is Sunday in Masaryktown

Masaryk birthday celebration today at community center

The annual Tomas G. Masaryk Birthday Dinner Dance is today at the Masaryktown Community Center, 539 Lincoln Ave. Dinner will be served from noon to 1:30 p.m. Entertainment provided by Steve and Malia. Dancing from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m., with polka, waltz and ballroom music by Mario DeLeon. Tickets for dinner and dance are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 11 and younger. Admission to the dance only is $6. Hear Suzuki method on violin and cello at concert

The fourth annual "Best of the Best" concert featuring former students of the late Charlotte Murrin will be 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 28 at Chocachatti Elementary School, 4135 California St. The concert will include students of the Suzuki method of learning, who will perform on the violin and cello. Refreshments will be served after the concert. Tickets are $15; all contributions are tax deductible. Proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Murrin Memorial Suzuki Education Foundation Inc.
