Dave Gallops and his son Nathan will once again play an important role in the Kings Avenue Baptist Church presentation of Walk Through Bethlehem.

This marks the 25th year Gallops has worked on the recreation of Bethlehem on the night of Christ's birth. His son, who once played the baby Jesus, also helps with the project.

Walk Through Bethlehem begins Thursday at Kings Avenue Baptist Church, 2602 S Kings Ave., The program runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The program utilizes more than 300 workers and live animals to produce the show. A guide leads groups through the city highlighting the local merchants, trades, families, and religious practices of this early time. The guide will also lead you to an encounter with Jesus Christ in the manger, at the cross, and at the empty tomb.
