COUNTY ASKS FOR YOUR INPUT AS IT CONSIDERS CUTS
Hernando County Administrator David Hamilton will host the next in his series of budget workshops/meetings throughout the community at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at VFW Post 10209, 14736 Edward R. Noll Drive, off Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill; and 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lorenzo Hamilton Community Center in Kennedy Park, 899 Kennedy Blvd., Brooksville. The 2010 and 2011 Hernando County government biennial budget will be discussed. Residents are encouraged to give their thoughts about their priorities for county government services and ways expenditures may be reduced. NOBLETON
With water higher, boat ramp reopens
The Hernando County boat ramp at Nobleton, 29061 Lamkin Drive, off County Road 476, has been reopened. The ramp had been closed since early April because of low water levels. For information, call Hernando County Parks Department at (352) 754-4027.
BROOKSVILLE
Buy, sell currency at Coin Club Show
West Hernando Coin Club will host its Summer Coin Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28 at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 S Broad St. Admission and parking will be free. Food and drinks will be available. More than 50 vendors will be participating. Visitors can buy, sell and have their coins appraised, including gold, silver, U.S. and foreign coins and paper money.
