Kids can learn about robotics at workshops

Students in grades 1-9 can participate in one of four summer robotic workshop sessions being offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the following sessions: July 6-9, July 13-16, July 27-30 and Aug. 3-6. Sessions are at East Lake High, 1300 Silver Eagle Drive. Each child will design and build a robot to complete specific tasks and will be part of a team of eight or fewer children assigned to each mentor. The curriculum is written by J. Cost for each session is $350 and includes a robot kit, T-shirt and snacks. Proceeds benefit the East Lake High Academy of Engineering, the East Lake High Robotics Team and the Career Technical Education Foundation. Call Wahnish at (407) 491-0903.
