Two homes hit by gunfire in 15 minutes

Two homes were sprayed with bullets early Thursday morning. Pasco sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said detectives are investigating to see if the two shootings are related. A rifle was used in both cases.

The first shooting was reported at 3:58 a.m. at 1141 Powersong St. in Crest Ridge Gardens. Doll said a person banged on the door and then fired multiple shots at the house. No one was injured.

The second incident was at 4:12 a.m. at 3410 Chauncy Road in Aloha Gardens, a little more than three miles from the first home. The shooter also pounded on the front door and then fired several rounds through it. A man inside had a minor scratch to his face, Doll said.
