Theater to stage Irving Berlin tribute

Eight O'Clock Theatre will present The Melody Lingers On: The Songs of Irving Berlin on July 10-12 and July 16-19 at the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. Showtimes will be 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $26 individual; $23.50 for groups; $16 for students, 19 & under. Call (727) 587-6793.

Relive, discuss the story of Seabiscuit

Watch Seabiscuit, starring Tobey Maguire and Jeff Bridges, at Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive, at 1:30 p.m. July 12. A discussion will follow comparing the book, Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand to its big screen adaptation.

Parks and recreation offers Free Day to Play

Largo's Recreation, Parks & Arts Department is offering "Free Day to Play!'' starting at 9 a.m. on July 11. Included in the offerings will be free trees, free classes, demonstrations and activities.
