Mah-jongg tourney to benefit cancer fight

Tampa residents Debra Kent Faulk and Maggie Osborn are holding a mah-jongg tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 at the Quorum Hotel Tampa, 700 N West Shore Blvd., to benefit breast cancer research and community outreach programs. Hillsborough County is holding a public hearing and workshop about the county's upcoming budget. Citizens interested in learning more about voicing their opinions can go to the County Center on July 16 at 1:30 p.m. for a workshop on the issue.
