Swing dance: Get ready to boogie with some old-school swing dancing. Swing Gang Tampa Bay hosts a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Sundays at the Zendah Grotto, 4109 N Lauber Way. Billed as Tampa Bay's biggest swing dance, the all-ages party costs $7 per person, $6 for students with a valid ID. Play premier: Dreams, love and ambition culminate in The Little Dog Laughed, which premiers at 8 at the Tampa Bay Performing Art Center's Shimberg Playhouse, 1010 N W.C. MacInnes Place. The play runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. until July 26. Tickets are $24.50. Tickets for Thursday's opening show are $10.
