Fitness, tennis, tae kwon do programs through Hernando County recreation

The Hernando County Recreation Department is offering these programs:

• Total Fitness Makeover, 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays, starting July 18, Delta Woods Park, 3400 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill. The program is for those who wish to lose weight, tone their bodies and boost metabolism. The cost is $8 per class or $15 per month. The instructor is Catherine Keefe.

• Tae kwon do, 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays at Delta Woods Park, and 6 to 8 p.m. Fridays at Kennedy Park, 895 Kennedy Blvd., Brooksville. Available for adults and children 6 and older. The first lesson is free, the first month is $30 and additional months are $40. The instructor is master Simeon "Sam" Kinard.

• Tennis lessons, offered at both Delta Woods Park and Hernando Park, 205 E Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville. Classes available for all skill levels on various days and times. The group lessons are $10 per hour.

• "Better You" workshop from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturdays, July 11 to Aug. 1, at Delta Woods Park. The instructor is certified life coach Lori Bainum. Open to ages 16 and older. The cost is $99.
