Brooksville

Arts and Crafts Club: This is a new club that is planning its first show, possibly in August. Plans for meeting locations and other details have not yet been determined. Hernando Beach

Hernando Beach Club: The club offers dinner at 6:30 p.m. Fridays. The cost is $11 for members, $13 for guests; reservations required by Wednesday. Cash bar available. Nonmembers can participate in two dinners without joining the club. Hernando Beach Yacht Club: Weekly social dinners are offered on Wednesdays (for members and their guests only). Spring Hill

AARP Hernando County, Chapter 1026: Noon Thursday, Atria Evergreen Woods, Great Room, 7030 Evergreen Woods Trail. The cost for all-you-can-eat lunch is $7.50. The speaker will be Dr. Mark Denner, a retired colonel with the National Guard. His topic: "What is a Doctor of Osteopathy?" Nature Coast Bridge Club: Games are played Mondays through Fridays at the Hernando County Senior Citizens Club, 7925 Rhanbuoy Road. Nature Coast Decorative Artists: 9 a.m. Saturday, Weeki Wachee Senior Citizens Center, 3357 Susan Drive. The project is painting a baby zebra in acrylics, taught by Pat Landry. The group is the local chapter of the National Society of Decorative Painters. Members are involved in charitable projects for troops overseas and Treasure Boxes for Shriners Hospital for Children.
