Driver killed when car thrust in semi's path
A Spring Hill man was killed early Tuesday in a multi-vehicle accident at U.S. 19 and U.S. 98 in Citrus County. Kevin R. Bronsdon, 46, was stopped in a northbound lane of U.S. 19 waiting for a red light to change when a 1999 Chevrolet pickup struck his 1995 Saturn from behind, knocking it into a semitrailer truck that was turning east onto U.S. 98, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the pickup ran from the scene, and law enforcement personnel were searching for him in the woods near Homosassa. The driver of the semi, Jose Rodriguez, 57, of Temple Terrace, was uninjured.
