BRANDON — Major road changes are in the works for Lithia Pinecrest Road, at the intersections of Lumsden Road, Bell Shoals Road and Durant Avenue.

The county wants to prevent traffic on Durant Avenue and Bell Shoals Road from entering or exiting Lithia Pinecrest Road.

Planners also want to build roads from Lithia Pinecrest Road west to Bell Shoals Road and east to Durant Avenue. That might require building on nearby residential property.

A neighborhood meeting about these proposals will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Brandon Recreation Center on 510 E Sadie St.
