Three restaurants and 14 home decor, fashion and beauty retailers are joining the tenant roster at the Shops at Wiregrass, developers Forest City Commercial Development and the Goodman Co. announced today. Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Cantina Laredo, Brass Tap and Yamato Japanese Steak House are among the newly announced tenants joining Barnes and Noble, Brighton, Chico's, Coach, J. Jill, Talbots, White House Black Market, Victoria's Secret and GrillSmith. Here's a list of new retailers: American Greetings, Aveda, Brown Shoe Closet, Cacique, Cantina Laredo, Christopher & Banks, Hollister, Hot Topic, Juice Zone, Learning Express, Limited Too, Put a Cork in It, and Stride Rite. The mall at State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard is anchored by Dillard's and Macy's, opening Oct. 30, as well as JCPenney, which opened in 2005.

KidCare sets kickoff for Friday

The Florida KidCare Coalition of Pasco County with help from Premier Community HealthCare Group Inc. is having its 2008 KidCare Kickoff from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce, 37964 Church Ave. KidCare is for children without health insurance. As part of the program, children receive comprehensive health care, including doctor visits, checkups, shots, surgery, prescriptions, vision and hearing screenings, mental health and dental care. Most families pay $20 or less per month; many pay nothing, and families with uninsured children can qualify for low-cost premiums. Apply in the community at designated locations such as Premier, online or at the kickoff. The first 100 children will receive a free bookbag. Open house at Rushe Middle

Charles S. Rushe Middle School, 18654 Mentmore Blvd., will hold open house for all new sixth-grade students and their parents or guardians at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Parents can follow the 1-6 period classes their child will take when school starts Aug. 18. Each open house class will last 7 minutes with 3 minutes for passing. Orientation for all students in grades 6 through 8 will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12. Students may pick up class schedules, visit classrooms, pay for lunches, get information about bus stops and athletics, purchase spirit items and pay fees. Those new to the area and who need to register their child should call the school before Aug. 12 at (813) 346-1200.
