A 17-year-old riding his bicycle in a parking lot off U.S. 19 and Embassy Boulevard was attacked by a man driving a car with the teen's ex-girlfriend inside, authorities say. The victim told deputies that about 4:20 p.m. Aug. 25, the red Chevy Cavalier cut him off and 20-year-old Kevin Joseph Sadlow got out of the driver's seat and beat him with a wooden stick. The teen, who was not identified, suffered serious injuries and possible neurological damage, the Sheriff's Office report said. Sadlow went back to the car, and that's when the teen saw his former girlfriend sitting in the passenger's seat. He later identified Sadlow from a photo lineup. Sadlow, of 7103 Edna Ave. in Hudson, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated battery. He remained jailed Tuesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Boyfriend charged in assault, battery
Joseph Mark Johns, 27, got into an argument late Sunday with his girlfriend of 10 years. Authorities say he pressed a steak knife to her throat, forced her into his Chevy pickup and made her drive. In a parking lot at Buena Vista Lane and Orange Drive, he got upset again and punched her in the face multiple times, according to a Sheriff's Office report. Then he squeezed her throat with his left hand and stuck his right fingers in her mouth, making it impossible for her to breath, the report said. She passed out. Early Monday morning, from a hospital emergency room, she described her ordeal to authorities. Johns, of 4900 Cactus Drive, faces charges of kidnapping, battery by strangulation and aggravated assault. He remained jailed Tuesday with no bail.

Water will be shut off in Gulf Harbors
Lindrick Utilities will shut off water Thursday night to all Gulf Harbors residents — about 1,500 homes — to fix a broken water main on Floramar Terrace. The water will be off from 9 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday. Once the water is back on, all Gulf Harbors residents will need to boil it before cooking or drinking, Lindrick said in a news release The boil water notice will be in effect until an independent agency can test the water and confirm it is safe to drink. Residents will get a green-colored notice from Lindrick when the boil notice is rescinded.

thats why we have jails..for people that cant control there own emotions,, usally a stint in the slammer cures that for awhile anyway,, and takes alot of money too..glad i can hold my breath for thirty seconds.. it has saved me plenty,,let me say

To the guy that was beat up from the Hudson man. A little advice, get yourself a good lawyer and SUE this jacka-- that did this to you. A hot head, that did damage, sue him for all he has, and some. And maybe someone to beat his a-- also. HOT HEAD
