BROOKSVILLE

The order book is open now for holiday meals

Christ Lutheran Church is now accepting credit and debit card orders online for Angel Food Ministry orders. To place an order, visit www.angelfoodministries.com or http://clcfla.org. A special Thanksgiving dinner box is available for $30, which includes a 7 pound turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, heat and serve green beans and corn, plus cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and a dessert item, which is enough to feed four to seven people. Other food units are available. Orders can be made in person at the church, 475 North Ave. W, from 6 to 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Payment in person must be made in cash or food stamps. All pick-ups will be at the church at designated times. For information, call the hotline at (352) 799-3452.

A remembering time and place

Hernando-Pasco Hospice's autumn Time for Remembrance services are at 2 and again at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the campus, 12260 Cortez Blvd. Chaplains will lead each hourlong service with support from bereavement counselors. Those attending are encouraged to participate in group readings and share memories. Music and Native American rituals will be incorporated. Flash from VFW: The bingo is back

Bingo will return to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10209 starting Tuesday. Games will be every Tuesday, with doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games will be starting at 5:45 p.m. The kitchen will be open. The post, at 14736 Edward R.
