Two new SPC degrees focus on environment
St. Petersburg College will offer two new degree programs this fall, both focusing on environmental issues. The bachelor's degree in applied science in sustainability management will focus on sustainable business and communication strategies, energy and resource management, legal aspects of sustainability, and sustainability in built and natural environments. The associate of science degree in environmental science technology will include the areas of water resource management, environmental resources/energy management and sustainability. 22nd Street Seafood Festival is Saturday
22nd Street South invites arts and crafts, seafood, and food vendors to the Seventh Annual 22nd Street Seafood Festival and Youth Market from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the corner of 22nd Street and 13th Avenue S. Students to perform today at Cantina
Students from Pinellas County Center for the Arts will perform a variety program today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Red Mesa Cantina, 128 Third St. S. They will sing pieces from "Songs for a New World," the production they will take to the 2009 International Fringe Festival in Scotland in August. The restaurant will be open for brunch as the students perform.
