SPRING HILL

Chance to get your puppy trained well

Those who wish to sign their puppies up for the dog training classes on Saturdays at Rotary Centennial Park can still do so. Those who missed the first class on April 4 can come to class 30 minutes early on Saturday for a makeup session. Puppy Kindergarten, for puppies 5 months and younger, is offered at 9 a.m. Saturdays; the cost is $75 for the six-class program. Elementary School, for dogs 4 months and older, is at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays and costs $95 for the six-class program. Both programs are taught by an instructor from Dog Gone Solutions. Aquatics class for Special Olympics

Hernando County Special Olympics will start its aquatics program at 9 a.m. this Saturday, with practices continuing every Saturday at the Hernando County Family YMCA, 1300 Mariner Blvd. There is no cost to register an athlete. For information, contact Frances Click at (352) 597-5003.

Irish comedian to perform at lunch

The St. Frances Cabrini Council of Catholic Women is hosting a sit-down luncheon and show with Irish comedian Danny Justice at noon April 22 in Xavier Hall, 5030 Mariner Blvd. Women and their spouses are welcome. The luncheon will be catered by John Mason. Prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $18 each and must be purchased by Friday . Call Alice at (352) 688-4766.
