Boley Angels board to hold annual social

The Boley Angels board of directors will host its annual membership social, a wine and cheese party, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in a private home in St. Petersburg. The group supports Boley Centers, a 40-year-old nonprofit that serves those with mental disabilities, the homeless and youth. (727) 525-8980.

Kiwanis scholarship bash is Saturday

The Jim Fischer-Skip Carr Memorial Scholarship Bash, presented by the Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg, is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Petersburg Country Club, 2000 Country Club Way S. It raises money for scholarships in memory of two community leaders. Donations received ($100 minimum suggested). (727) 821-2080.

Friday is 'Value Me' Prom Magic lunch

The third "Value Me" Prom Magic luncheon presented by the Beth Dillinger Foundation is noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon, 950 Lake Carillon Drive. Opera presents 'An Evening in Seville'

St. Petersburg Opera will host "An Evening in Seville," a fundraiser and a preview of Bizet's Carmen, at 7 p.m. Saturday in a private home in Seminole. The evening will include music, food and drink, and more. $125. (727) 823-2040.
