The Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association is looking for fine art and fine crafts for its annual BungalowFest Tour of Homes and Art in the Park scheduled for Nov. 5. The "Celebration of Art & Architecture" will be a day of home tours to highlight the unique architectural heritage of Historic Kenwood, a designer showhouse and a juried art show of established and emerging artists. Annual pool passes are half-price this month
For July only, the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center is selling all yearly pool passes for 50 percent off. In honor of fallen St. Petersburg police Officers Jeffrey Yaslowitz, Tom Baitinger and David Crawford, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast have teamed up with Big3Records, SubbZero Entertainment, LLC and TASCO to create the tribute song Let's Get Together. It is available on iTunes and serves as a fundraiser for the officers' families. The song costs 99 cents, and the video can be downloaded for $1.99.

Children 3 to 10 can get free swimming lessons
The Largo aquatics division has received a grant from the Katelyn F. Foundation, which was created by Sandra Testo Michaud for her daughter, Katelyn Michaud, who died in a swimming pool accident in 2004. Any child 3 to 10 who qualifies for free or reduced-price school lunches is eligible for free American Red Cross group swimming lessons. There are 20 scholarships available for eight 30-minute lessons Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. starting July 26. Registration begins Monday at the Highland Family Aquatic Center, 400 Highland Ave. Each child must have a Largo recreation card, and the parent or legal guardian must bring the Pinellas schools' free or reduced lunch form to register.
