Fundraising raffle: The Newsome High School Wolfpack Marching Band is working with the Moms Club of Lithia-Bevis and Busciglio Orthodontics to sell raffle tickets for $10 for a chance to win a complete Invisalign treatment. Raffle tickets are on sale through Sept. 7 and may be purchased from any Newsome High band student. The drawing will be held at the grand opening of the Busciglio Orthodontics FishHawk office on Sept. 8. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the club and the marching band. New board members: St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School has added two members to its School Board of Trustees. Kristan Evans is the director of marketing for Intelladon, a learning management system and talent management solution provider. Evans has served as communications chair for the Central/North Florida Health Information and Management Systems Society chapter and health care special interest group chair for the Tampa Bay chapter of the American Marketing Association. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Georgia.
Sean LaNeve is the vice president, Control Room Group at AVI-SPL and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/information systems from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in business administration from Florida State University.
Children's chorus: The Tampa Bay Children's Chorus is accepting new singers for 2012-2013 season. The chamber choir is open to advanced singers in grades 7-12, the concert choir is open to intermediate singers in grades 5-9 and the cantate is open to beginning singers in grades 2-5. Those interested in auditioning can sit in on a rehearsal. Rehearsals are held 6 p.m. Mondays at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church, 502 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace, and 6 p.m. Tuesdays at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg.

After-school program: Registration is available for the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department Rec2Six after-school program for children in grades K-5.
The program runs from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at 10 recreation centers in the county. The weekly rate is $38. The reduced weekly rate is $30 with a current school reduced-lunch letter and $20 with a current free-lunch letter.
