Irish Pub fundraiser aids wounded soldiers

A fundraiser to benefit soldiers in the polytrauma brain injury unit at James A. Haley VA Medical Center is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at O' Brien's Irish Pub & Grill, 701 W Lumsden Road. A $10 donation includes free beer and appetizers. For more information, call Giselle Hollister at (813) 335-4555.

Junior Woman's Club collecting for troops

Academy seeks kids for 'Glee' groups

Class is for divorcing parents with minors

Hillsborough County's Extension Office offers the one-day Parenting and Divorce Class for divorcing parents who have minor children. The class fulfills court-ordered requirements. Parents must register individually and may not attend the same session without prior permission. The next class is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. There is a $25 registration fee. Get financial planning help for retirement

A series of classes on how to prepare financially for retirement begins Feb. 8 at the Hillsborough County Extension Office, 5339 County Road 579, Seffner. Participants must register by Jan. 31. Sun City Rotary needs help packaging food

Rotary seeks 300 volunteers to help package food for the Kids Against Hunger program. They will meet from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Borini Theater in Kings Point.
