Center For Independence hosts yard sale fundraiser

NEW PORT RICHEY — The Center for Independence, which recently announced the appointment of its new CEO, will hold a charity yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at 8726 Old County Road 54. The Center for Independence, Inc., is a local nonprofit that runs group homes, trainings and transportation for people with developmental disabilities.

Its new CEO is Cathy Holland, who has worked as a development officer in the nonprofit sector for 30 years.

The yard sale will raise money for new computer equipment in the Center's Adult Day Training Facilities in New Port Richey and Dade City. Those who wish to donate outside the yard sale can make checks payable to The Center for Independence, Inc. Mail them to 8726 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, 34653.
